Anyone try this yet? Anyone with the Steam copy of BFBC2 can get in on it. I've only given it about an hour but it feels like BFBC2 light with sharper graphics. A few bullets kill and that's nice but to me the maps felt really small and overly congested. You respawn fast after dying (too fast) and that keeps the action going but you can either spawn in the base or on the front lines. If you're losing, the front lines is the base and with the rapid respawn times you'll likely to be there a while since the dominating team can respawn within seconds right on top of your base. In a short time I saw some extremely nasty spawn camping. I really hope they change this before releasing the game.
Another thing I don't like one bit is that turning left and right while using the iron sights is slightly slower than when you turn without them. This really messes with me when I shoot at a moving target or try to hit the iron sites then turn. It has the usually beta/early release issues you'd expect from anything DICE/EA release such as the crouch and zoom "Toggle" options don't set the keys to toggle, it completely removes your ability to crouch and zoom. WTF? if you bind left/right keys to left and right strafe then they will be reversed. Again, WTF. Binding your 'next weapon' option to your scroll wheel doesn't work even though that's the default setting. Have I said WTF yet? The server browse menu is half broken just like all of the other DICE games upon release.
In the short time I've played I've found far more things to dislike than like but in its defense it is still a beta. Still, If you like BFBC2 it's worth checking out. Well, it will be a year from now once they get the bugs out.
